It is extremely natural and feels very smooth to operate. If you want to scroll the page, you twist the ring. The scroll feature of the trackball is a ring that runs all the way around the ball. The buttons on the Kensington are non-gaming friendly enough that I'll plug in a mouse. The Expert Mouse has four large buttons, two of which are quickly accessible, and two of which require you to 'go a bit out of your way.' This is maybe one of the reasons gamers will not appreciate this device: you only have quick access to two buttons, and in a game where milliseconds count, you 'ain't got time for that.'
